SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

The Scholarship committee will be comprised of the Treasurer, President-Elect and 2 non-Board members, appointed by the Treasurer and approved by the Board. Applicants related to (whether biologically or through legal guardianship) of the committee members are ineligible to apply for the scholarship. If either or both of the elected positions have a child, grandchild or are legal guardians of a child applying for the scholarship, then the Board President will appoint a replacement. The Board shall approve of this committee by the initial planning meeting of each year. Applications will be made available beginning January 1st of each year and all applications must be post-marked and submitted to the designated address on or before February 28th of each year. The 4-person committee will interview students and make a final recommendation to the Board by the April Board meeting. Members of the Board whose children (as defined above) have applied must abstain from the discussion and voting. All students will be notified of the decision by May 15th of each year.
